High Temperature, High CO₂ Installation with Specialty RTP in Ecuador
Background:
After experiencing severe corrosion in the steel piping due to high temperatures – three-phase flow from wells, with temperatures up to 95°C (203°F) and up to 25% CO2 – an operator in Ecuador realized steel pipe was no longer meeting their requirements. The environment required a corrosion-resistant piping system with long service life and minimal maintenance needs. Specialty RTP solved the issue with a high-temperature SRTP® system that was inert to the environment and resistant to the high temperatures.
